Interior design and architecture are very complex fields of work that require skill, attention to detail, and planning. This past week we were able to try out a rudimentary version an
application called Sweet Home. What Sweet Home does, is it allows the user to create, build, and design rooms, houses, and even entire buildings all virtually. With the addition of things like furniture, kitchen and bath appliances, stairs, doors, and even wall builders, it is the perfect program to layout and create a 3D floor plan, even if it is just for fun. We were able to explore the app on MacBooks as well as Mac desktops to get the full experience. The program was very fun to use and I
can see people spending hours and hours just messing around with all the incredible features Sweet Home has to offer. For design purposes, I feel like this application can definitely help people visualize basic ideas that may they have, but for real world purposes, I think this program is lacking a little bit. Again, I really enjoyed messing around with this program and I think with some more development it could absolutely go places.
