This week we've been playing with a piece of tech that we have had at the Help Desk for a
while now called DropMix. DropMix is a party game that allows you to mash together lyrics, instruments, and sound effects to create songs and mash-ups with friends. The game is played with the DropMix app that you can download on almost any tablet, the DropMix game board, and of course, the DropMix game cards. The game works by selecting the game mode on the app and then placing certain colored/leveled cards onto the corresponding spot on the game board. The cards have chips embedded in them that send information like what song, instrument, or lyrics are attached to that card. That information is then processed by the
app and then the sound, lyric, or instrument is added to the mash-up. With a starting price around $50 and numerous add-ons, DropMix is a great piece of tech for those looking for a fun, new, and innovative party game.
